Pre-requisite

Minimum qualification Higher Secondary Certification (HSC), with an ability to follow lectures in English. No student will be admitted who has appeared in qualifying examination and result is awaited. Student visa is essential for foreign students.

The candidate's age should be below 45 years at the time of admission and he/she must submit with his/her application, a certificate of physical fitness signed by a registered medical practitioner. For Foreign Students there is no age Limit. The executive committee in deserving places may consider application of Yoga Aspirants above the age of 40.

In case a candidate is found unfit to undergo the course, his/her training will be discontinued and no refund of fees/charges will be made.

Six weeks, Twice a year
 
Objective

The object of the course is to introduce Yoga Enthusiasts to a basic Systematised, Theoretical & Practical aspect of Yoga.
 

Recognition

Kaivalyadhama S.M.Y.M. Samiti is permanently recognised as an 'All India Institute of Higher Education' by the Government of India. Also the College has been recognised as one of the special Collage by the Government of Maharashtra and by N.C.T.E. GOVT. OF INDIA.

Fees for Indian Nationals : Rs. 9,000
Fees for Foreign Nationals : US $ 1000

Boarding and Lodging
For Indian Nationals boarding will be provided in �Ashram Mess�.
For Foreign Nationals boarding will be provided in �Hospital Mess�. Diet will be strictly vegetarian in the Indian sense of the word & very simple in nature .
For Foreign Nationals lodging will be provided on sharing basis with attached bathroom or single room with common bath.
For Indian Nationals (Male & Females) accommodation will be provided with respective hostels.
 
How to Reach there

Lonavla is 128 kms. from Mumbai and 64 kms. from Pune. Railway trains are available at 1 to 2 hours intervals from both the sides. Kaivalyadhama campus is about 2 kms. from Lonavla station and taxis and three wheelers are available during the day-time.
 

Location and Weather

The College is located at Lonavla, which is a small hill station on the Central Railway line between Pune and Mumbai. The weather in Lonavla is pleasant. Summers (April-June) are mild, while winters are cool (November-February). It experiences heavy southwestern monsoon rains between June and September.
 

What to bring
  • A full bedding like mattresses, bed sheet, pillow, two blankets etc.
  • Personal clothing.
  • An umbrella and/or raincoat, a torch.
  • A mosquito net.
For Students especially from other countries : (Men and Women)
  • TOURIST VISA will not be valid for securing admission to the College for a foreign student, desirous to join either of the courses. He/she should possess a valid student visa.
  • Diet will be strictly vegetarian in the Indian sense of the word & very simple in nature.
  • Fee will not be calculated on day's basis. It is for the full course. No refund is permitted for vacation period.
  • Foreign students are not eligible for any concessions. They will have to bear all the expenses themselves as per charges shown.
  • They need to prepare themselves well in English before joining the College. Some knowledge of Sanskrit and Hindi would be of additional help
  • Information on other points is the same as given in the prospectus

N.B:- Lonavla does not have the facility of exchanging foreign currencies, although institute is trying its best to have such facility. Hence, the students are advised to make their own arrangement by way of Travellers Cheques or Indian currency before reaching Lonavla from Bombay or Pune.
 

Campus Rules and Regulations
  • Absence from any activity of the scheduled programme is a gross breach of discipline.
  • No student will go out of Kaivalyadhama enclave at night or apply for any kind of leave.
  • Every student is expected to be in his/her room at 9 p.m.
  • All the students shall ensure that they do not visit any Hostel except where they themselves are accommodated.
  • If any guests of the students are coming, they will have to make their own arrangements.
  • If a student does not feel like eating a meal, he/she should inform the person in - charge in good time so that no food may be wasted
  • Smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited.
  • No extra activities shall be condoned  without the permission of the Officer in-charge.
  • All the library books and other dues, if any, must be settled before leaving the course.
  • Routine of the course should be strictly followed and a happy atmosphere maintained.
