 An invigorating flow of postures to help prepare a woman''s body for birth and to keep in shape during the pregnancy. This series is designed for those women who have some yoga experience or are in relatively good physical condition and are experiencing a normal, healthy pregnancy. The program begins with Tai chi style warm-ups and modified Sun Salutations. It continues with squats and hip-opening standing poses. The end takes you to sitting hip-openers, forward bends and gentle restorative poses. It is the perfect combination of engaging and relaxing, with a nourishing and meditative quality throughout.
About Raji Thron:
Raji Thron has practiced Hatha Yoga for more than thirty years, having been initiated at twelve in New Delhi, India. His early study and training included Kundalini Yoga and Iyengar Yoga and culminated in his extensive practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with Richard Freeman. After studying with Pattabhi Jois several times in India and in the U.S., Raji began teaching Ashtanga at The Yoga Workshop in Boulder, Colorado. Later, while teaching in California, Raji trained with Erich Schiffmann, Ganga White, Tracy Rich and many teachers at Yoga Works. Raji went on to complete an intermediate lyengar teacher training and therapeutic intensive with Aadil Palkhivala. In partnership with Rose Fitzgerald, he directs Raji Thron's Yoga Synthesis in Ramsey, New Jersey. Format : DVD
