just dismissed as figments of imagination. One has to interact with them directly and tell them you can't be bullied. They always back down in the face of strength. At this level you experience the Divine perfection in all things. Faith gets strengthened as without much effort needs get met. You align your desires with that which is unfolding and life seems blessed. This is the seat of the mind that has four differentiations in Vedanta ( manas, buddhi, ahamkara and chitta). Storehouse of all knowledge and wisdom. This is the center of extrasensory perceptions giving rise to many psychic powers. 

Characteristics 

• This Chakra has 2 petals producing the sounds of Ham and Ksham. For activating the charkas the sounds are produced as Hang and Kshang. 

• The Bija sound is ‘Om'. Vehicle-Nada 

• Rudra granthi is situated here. 

• Presiding Deities - Paramasiva or Ardhanarishvara, (the half-male and half-female Shiva- Shakti symbolic of universal polarity) and Hakini. 

• Plane - Tapo Loka. Element- Mind; Planet -Saturn 

Lalana chakra 

Location  
This is situated at the space just above Agnya chakra and below the Sahasrara chakra, 

Function  
The Nadis emanating from this center control the 12 pairs of cranial nerves that proceed from the brain to the different sense organs. 

Characteristics  

• Twelve Nadis emanate from this center representing the Sanskrit letters Ha, Sa, Ksha, Ma, La, Va, Ra, Ya, Ha, Sa, Kha, and Phrem. 

• Bija sound ‘OM' 

• At this center the yogi concentrates on the form of his Guru and obtains all knowledge. 

Sahasrara Chakra (Fig-97) 
It is not a chakra. Chakras are within the realm of the mind. Consciousness manifests at different levels according to the chakra that is predominantly active. 

Meaning  
It means, ‘one thousand'. It is conceived as a lotus flower with one thousand petals. The implication is that the magnitude and significance of this center is vast in fact unlimited. It is the place where the soul is located. This soul is Pure consciousness, Brahman or Shiva in the human body. 

Location 
Top of the head, Brahmarandhra. 

Function  
Seat of cosmic consciousness. The desire to experience the Divine is the drive of this chakra.
