At this center the yogi concentrates on the form of his Guru and obtains all knowledge. Sahasrara Chakra (Fig-97) It is not a chakra. Chakras are within the realm of the mind. Consciousness manifests at different levels according to the chakra that is predominantly active. Meaning It means, ‘one thousand'. It is conceived as a lotus flower with one thousand petals. The implication is that the magnitude and significance of this center is vast in fact unlimited. It is the place where the soul is located. This soul is Pure consciousness, Brahman or Shiva in the human body. Location Top of the head, Brahmarandhra. Function Seat of cosmic consciousness.
