may end up going off the rails! So, within the practical sections of the book I
have made great efforts to assist the reader in self-prescribing safely, by including
all the necessary caveats relevant to a woman's stage of motherhood and yoga experience.
Before commencing any of the recommended yoga practices, please be
sure to read the section "General Advice and Precautions" at the beginning
of "Chapter 9 - Getting Started" in Book 2. Following that, the Prescribed
Yoga Programs, can then be used as a teach yourself system, or in conjunction with
a tutored class. The actual practices included in Chapter 10, cover from beginners

any of the previous chapters, however there is much relevant background information
in Chapter 2 - "Yoga and Tantra" which will help you to gain a better
understanding of what you are doing and how it can work.
In Conclusion
Pregnancy, childbirth, motherhood, yoga. Each one offers us an opportunity
for profound transformation - to make a leap into a new consciousness. Nature invites
us to feel into our bellies, to discover what lies hidden within, to manifest that
being and to teach and learn through that maternal bond. My greatest hope is that
every woman experiencing pregnancy will heed these silent urgings. My greatest gift
is the teachings of yoga, a way of making this potential a spiritual reality.
