The Endocrine system

The endocrine gland that is actively involved in adaptation to stress is the adrenal gland. Pituitary gland situated very near the hypothalamus in the brain is the master gland that controls other endocrine glands. These endocrine glands secrete small quantities of highly potent chemicals called hormones that are poured into the blood, which can bring about wide spread
