Intoxicating Bliss Pose (Anand Madirasana)

Anand Madirasana is an Indian translation for Intoxicating Bliss pose. This asana is primarily used to awaken Ajna Chakra, and also to calm the mind, to relax the nervous system. You can learn this asana as below:

Routine Benefits
Breathing Pattern Consciousness

Routine:

  • Get in Vajrasana pose.

  • Remove the palms over the knees.

  • Place the palms over the heel tops so as fingers point towards each other.

  • Place palms just above the heels if you feel uneasy.

  • Keep the spinal chord and the neck straight.

  • Keep the elbow and the hand straight.

  • Close the eyes and get the consciousness between the eyebrows.

Breathing Patterns:

  • Slow and deep.

  • Contemplate as if you are breathing from the eyebrow centre.

  • Inhale from the eyebrow center to Ajna Chakra.

  • Exhale from Ajna to the eyebrow center.

Consciousness:

  • Physical - initially on the breathing, later on the eyebrow center.

  • Spiritual - on Ajna Chakra.

Benefits:

  • Like the Vajrasana.

  • Awakens the Ajna Chakra.

  • Reveals the path for Para-psychology.
