The retreat is designed as an uplifting and enjoyable week long experience with the hope that you will carry away practical tools for continuing personal growth, health and spiritual well-being in daily life.

Designed for those interested in learning the rich spiritual traditions of India, the program includes Yoga exercises, breathing techniques, contemplative walks and discourses to promote the integrated health of body, mind and spirit.

Opportunities are also provided for participants to benefit from quiet relaxation amidst the Ashram flower gardens, surrounding forests and the caressing sounds of the river Ganges in the background. Bathing in the pristine river by the nearby river beaches is a popular Retreat activity.

During free time, participants are also encouraged to meet with the experienced teachers from Hatha and Astanga Yoga Traditions for spiritual guidance.

You will take back with you these rich YOGA teachings that will help you incorporate them in your daily life thereafter.

Each participant will be housed in a private room and provided with three tasty, plentiful vegetarian meals. A mini-kitchen is available for use by those wishing to prepare, snacks or beverages.

However, please note that the rooms are extremely basic, similar to what you would find in a rural setting. Bedding is provided but there are no private bathrooms - only common facilities are available. So, if you are looking for luxurious rooms, this is not for you.

The Ashram stay is basic. Some of our clients have even described their Ashram stay as a culture shock. Even though the rooms have basic facilities including beddings and blankets, however, please do not expect a 5-star reception or welcome here. This is NOT a hotel and for the most part you will have to find your way around; of course, the Healthandyoga team will always be only a simple phone call away.

But the setting amidst nature with the constant sounds of the river rushing alongside more than makes up for this extra-basic accommodation.
You are free to pick herbs and lemons from the Ashram gardens to prepare your tea. Moreover, milk and tea leaves can be provided upon request.

So, if you are a nature lover as well with Yoga as your natural inclination, this is the place to be. You'll almost certainly want to extend your visit.

The natural setting will rejuvenate, revitalize and renew.
