Location and about retreat venue :

The retreat is perfectly located in the Ashram town of Rishikesh – the Yoga capital of the World. It is an ideal place to focus on your inner, physical and spiritual self.

The retreat will be conducted in the Ashram which is located right upon the banks of the holy Ganges river. It is set amidst two and a half acres of well manicured gardens and trees. The Ashram although calm and secluded, it is yet only a ten minute walk from the main Rishikesh bazaar and the bustling markets.

The Ashram has a wonderful yoga studio complete with props, which is fully equipped to accommodate more than 50 students at a time. It is located just behind the Ashram Temple with a scenic view of Himalayas and the holy Ganga River.

Spaces are limited to ensure our students receive a high level of personal guidance and attention.

Retreat Program :

This being a Yoga Intensive Retreat, there will be daily yoga classes. As a wholesome program, the study will include asana, meditation and pranayama. The style will reflect the training of the teacher giving a class.

In the morning asana session, you’re going to experience the art of yoga practice. Every day different sequences with clear instructions from the teacher will reveal you new methods and approaches of yogic practice.

In the evening Asana session you’ll learn more about technical details of asana, how to use props and the art of breathing.

Learning from the masters will always take you to an unknown world. Videos of Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar’s classes and practice and Swami Dayananda’s talks will be shown in a session.

Sanskrit: The entire authentic Yoga literature is originally in the Sanskrit language. So, if you don’t know the basics, you really aren’t started. Here, in one session, you’re going to learn basic Sanskrit. At the end of the course you can read Sanskrit words, though it’ll take more time to understand the meaning.
