Pranayama

Breathing is so simple and so obvious that we often
take it for granted; ignoring the power it has to affect the body,
mind and spirit. With each inhale we bring oxygen into the body and
spark the transformation of nutrients into fuel. Each exhale purges
the body of carbon dioxide, a toxic waste. Breathing also affects our
state of mind; it can make us excited or calm, tense or relaxed, and
our thinking confused or clear. What’s more, in the yogic tradition,
air is the primary source of prana (or life force), a psycho-physio
spiritual force that permeates the universe.

Meditation
|
 |
|
Mindfulness is the practice of opening to and
accepting life just as it is - a constantly changing process. To
begin, we must make the necessary effort to calm the mind and body.
Without this first step our intention to be present is often
overwhelmed by our habits of reactivity and struggle - trying to fix
or control the conditions of the moment. To calm the mind and

body we practice connecting and sustaining our
attention to ordinary experience in each moment; for example, the
sensations of the breath coming and going or the sensations of lifting
and placing each foot as we walk. This simple and clear patient seeing
is at the heart of mindfulness practice.

Surfing
|
 |
|
Countless surfers come to Troncones for our classic
left point breaks. These are predominantly longboard waves, but on a
good day many shortboarders can be seen carving fine cuts into the
face. Excellent conditions for both beginners and experts... lessons
upon request.
