Present Moment Retreat resident yogini has been a student of yoga for seven years. She received her teaching certification from Yoga Center of Minneapolis. She teaches a Vinyasa flow style of yoga that integrates interdisciplinary yoga practice, philosophy, pranayama and meditation; her energy and enthusiasm evokes the essence of yoga. She is also a gifted choreographer and national

champion gymnast. She has been living and teaching in Minneapolis until now. Our Yoga teachers offers both group sessions and private instruction by appointment.

Pranayama

Breathing is so simple and so obvious that we often take it for granted; ignoring the power it has to affect the body, mind and spirit. With each inhale we bring oxygen into the body and spark the transformation of nutrients into fuel. Each exhale purges the body of carbon dioxide, a toxic waste. Breathing also affects our state of mind; it can make us excited or calm, tense or relaxed, and our thinking confused or clear. What’s more, in the yogic tradition, air is the primary source of prana (or life force), a psycho-physio spiritual force that permeates the universe.

Meditation

Mindfulness is the practice of opening to and accepting life just as it is - a constantly changing process. To begin, we must make the necessary effort to calm the mind and body. Without this first step our intention to be present is often overwhelmed by our habits of reactivity and struggle - trying to fix or control the conditions of the moment. To calm the mind and

body we practice connecting and sustaining our attention to ordinary experience in each moment; for example, the sensations of the breath coming and going or the sensations of lifting and placing each foot as we walk. This simple and clear patient seeing is at the heart of mindfulness practice.

Horseback Riding

We feature local, professionally trained, friendly and beautiful riding
horses. Walk, gallop and cantor along the stunning beaches and beach towns of Troncones, Manzanillo Bay and Majahua. Feel the transformational power as you get up close and personal with nature's positive energy.

Hiking

The Sierra Mountain range is directly across the road. Enchanted with forests of pine, oak and aspen, stunning blue skies, meadows and mesas, your hike can be a gentle or an extreme adventure. Choose to have a local guide lead the way or blaze new trails on your own. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Pool

Let go of your stress in our naturally landscaped infinity pool. Lounge in the sun while sipping a tropical beverage or enjoy the amazing effects of
Watsu bodywork.

Surfing

Countless surfers come to Troncones for our classic left point breaks. These are predominantly longboard waves, but on a good day many shortboarders can be seen carving fine cuts into the face. Excellent conditions for both beginners and experts... lessons upon request.
