About the Instructor – Cole Schlam
Cole is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor based in Denver, Colorado. Cole finds joy in sharing yoga with others by offering a warm and accepting energy to class, often with a splash of silliness, and lightness. Her compassionate teaching offers a welcoming space for new and experienced yogis alike to explore movement in their own body and mind. Yoga is for everyone no matter their physical ability, emotional state, and strength.
At this Belize retreat, Cole wants to help you explore yoga asanas, the physical practice of yoga, as a way to deepen our practice, connect more with ourselves and our bodies. Each day, Cole will offer a morning meditation followed by a sunrise flow. Each afternoon, there will be an afternoon yoga session that will range in style (power, restorative, flow, yin, etc). While the yoga sessions will focus mostly on the physical practice, there will be intention on breath and will be mindful of yoga philosophy.

What to expect?
You will be visiting a developing country in Central America on your trip, and staying in a jungle facility. As such, you should not expect conditions to be the same as what you know of your home country, especially if you are coming from North America or Europe. Infrastructure is not quite as good (especially roads and vehicles) - so expect an adventure! Although the accommodations at the two locations where you will be staying are clean and comfortable and all fully screened, there are some creepy crawlies that will inevitably grace you with their presence! None of them can hurt you but you should be aware that you will likely see them - true archniphobes be forewarned!
