Coffee plays a very important role in making recipes for enema. Coffee
plays a very relevant role in detoxification; it is a proven fact, and
people have been using this with enemas from ages. As we know, enema
is one of the oldest method used to make our body function well.
Coffee is a very famous and highly used beverage
all over the world. Nevertheless, when we talk of coffee with context
to enema, it sounds different and most of us have no knowledge of its
significance.
No one actually knows when the first enema bag was
filled with this bean. However, what is known is that coffee enema
came into practice around 1917 and this fact was found in the famous
Merck Manual. Moreover, German scientists discovered that a caffeine
solution can stimulate the production of bile in the liver and could
open the bile ducts, and this was tested on animals.
A famous doctor, Max Gerson, was the first person
to use coffee enema clinically as a great detoxification agent. He
discovered that caffeine was very good for liver problems.
It was also effective in pain relief without the
side effects of analgesics.
He also discovered that coffee enema played an
important role in paradoxical calming. However, while this treatment
is good for constipation, he warned that coffee enema is not given for
the improvement of the intestines; instead it is for the stimulation
of the liver.
This type of enema got very famous for its use in
cancer therapy in 1930's and Dr. Max Gerson was discovering more facts
on how it could be healthy for cancer patient as it was for liver and
gall bladder problems.
The main difference between a saline enema and a
coffee enema is the presence of caffeine in the coffee. Coffee has a
chemical makeup that is stimulative. Caffeine, theophylline and
theobromine, combine to stimulate the relaxation of smooth muscles
causing dilatation of blood vessels and bile ducts.
Coffee - an excellent detoxifier in Enemas
The effects of the enema are not the same as in drinking coffee. The
veins of the anus are very close to the surface of the tissue. The
caffeine is absorbed more efficiently. The enzymes in coffee, known as
palmitates, help the liver carry away the toxins in bile acid.
Hence, coffee in enemas acts as an excellent
detoxification agent.
This function of the liver and the small bowel is
to neutralize the common tissue toxins, and coffee enema enhances this
process.
Caffeine enemas facilitate the excretion of toxic
cancer because of the property of caffeine to dilate bile ducts.
Theophylline and Theobromine that are chemicals present in coffee are
known to stimulate the enzyme system.
Preparation
Coffee should NOT be instant coffee or containing chicory. The Coffee
powder generally available is blended with chicory. However, the
coffee used for enemas should be 100% pure, perfectly roasted and
coarse ground.
The best extract or decoction is obtained by
pouring boiling water on the powder and allowing it to settle. It
should not be steamed. The decoction should be fresh and used soon
after it cools.
Apart from its advantages, this process can also be
addictive. Therefore, scientists and qualified doctors suggest that
coffee enema should not be used in excess.
In the Gerson institute, scientists are working
hard in finding out more about the relationship of coffee enema with
different disorders.
However, there is no doubt that it is a very
effective way of detoxification and no one can deny its therapeutic
effect. |
