Courses For Yoga Education

Yoga is an age old phenomenal technique developed in India for the benefit of young and old people. This method aligns all faculties of brain, mind, body and soul to develop individual to better health and longetivity. Spiritual salvation is also mooted in this method. By using yoga one can build a character and soul to perfect his efforts towards any goal. This could be a life turning aspect for an individual. Learning yoga can happen in a retreat tour or one can also learn yoga courses and curriculum at one of the universities which would help as a yoga instructor later on. 2. Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya,Hardwar, incepted in 2002, the university offers Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga and Certificate in Yogic Sciences.
3. Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Hardwar offers Diploma in Yogic Science and incepted in Mar 02, 1902, deemed university in 1962.
4. Jiwaji University, Gwalior incepted in 1964. The university offers Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy.
5. Karpagam University, Coimbatore; incepted in 1956. The university offers a Diploma in Yoga
6. M P Bhoj Indian University, Bhopal offers Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy and incepted in 1991.
7. Madurai Kamraj University incepted in 1966 and offers Diploma in Yoga.
8. Nalanda Open University incepted in March 1987. This university offers courses in Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Studies and Certificate in Yoga Therapy and Physiotherapy.
9. Periyar University, Salem offers BSc and MSc in Yoga as well as a Certificate Diploma Course in Yoga.
10. Pt. Sunder Lal Sharma Open University, Bilaspur incepted in 2005 offers Diploma in Yoga.
11. Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Tirupati. This university offers course in Yogavijnan, incepted in 1956.
12. Svyasa, this university offers BA and MA in Yoga Therapy and Education and founded in 2007.
13. Tamil University, Thanjavur offers MA in Yoga as well as Diploma in Yoga, university incepted in Aug 23, 1925.
14. Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune offers BA in Yoga as well as Diploma in Yoga and Naturopathy, deemed university in 1987 and incepted in 1921.
15. UP Rajarshri Tandon Open University, Allahabad.
16. University of Madras, Chennai offers Diploma in Yoga. The university is accredited by UGC and NAAC, incepted in 1857.
17. Vinayaka Mission’s University. It is incepted in 1981 and offers Diploma in Yoga Science.

Of course, there are many choices of universities for education in yoga from private institutions though there are many courses one can have from the government and state universities yoga courses. These courses are usually of three year for Bachelors, two year for Post Graduate or one year for Post Graduate Diploma as well as six month to one year Certificate Courses. All yoga courses are educating individual for yoga therapy, science as written in ancient texts while they also learn practical guidance by being regular students.
