over took him. He opened his eyes and saw a rat eating into his food. A desire came to his mind he needs a cat to kill this rat. A voice quietly told him, cat is not needed just cover the food properly. He overlooked this voice. Next day he requested the villagers to provide him with a cat which has to kill the rat that is eating his food. The next day as he was meditating in one corner of the hut from the other corner the cat started mewing—mao, mao. The cat needed milk. The monk now realized that he needs a cow to give milk for the cat that has to kill the rat. When the cow was provided to him by the villagers he realized that the cow has to be taken to the forests for grazing. He therefore started taking the cow out for grazing in the nearby forest. Soon he realized he is wasting much time and his meditation is getting disturbed. So he decided to keep a small boy for this purpose. The boy did the work very well but after a month he asked for money. The monk had no money. He therefore decided to cut wood in the jungle, sell the wood and pay the boy. The boy has to take the cow out for grazing. The cow has to give milk for the cat. The cat has to kill the rat. One day as he was cutting wood a young beautiful village girl was also cutting wood nearby. His mind started wandering half the time on cutting the wood and the other half on the girl. A few days later only looking at the girl was not satisfying so he decided to talk to the girl. Hi how are you? What's your name? Where do you live? Slowly only talking was not giving him the best satisfaction so he made advances and started touching her body a little of and on. He found the girl quite responsive. She also complained about her low back ache resulting from chopping wood. He immediately volunteered to massage her lower back and while doing so his hands slowly tended to move downward towards the firm flesh below. She also did not react and allowed the massage to continue. A blissful wave of thrill ran over his body. Soon he forgot everything about monkship, meditation and higher purpose of life. He married the girl and once again got involved in normal married life that he had renounced earlier. Seekers be aware of your desires.

Whatever happens is always for good
Akbar and Birbal were once the King and the prime minister of this country. They were good friends and ruled the country well. One day the King cut his finger and was in great pain. In that moment of pain he called for his friend Birbal. Birbal however instructed the messenger to advise the King to call for a doctor and added dryly, ‘by the way tell the King whatever happens is always for good'. The King was furious to hear this. Firstly the pain, secondly no sympathy and lastly this stupid advise. He ordered Birbal to be removed from ministership and kept in a dungeon as punishment where he will have no light and no food. That evening the King decided to go out on a stroll on his own. With his mind distracted he soon lost his way and found himself in a jungle. Slowly the evening set in and it became very dark. The King could not trace his way back and kept circling within the jungle. A little later he heard the voices of local tribals attacking him. They soon came upon him and captured him. Seeing his strong, healthy body the tribals were very happy. They thought this was a very good offering for their tribal Goddess. At mid night the tribals decided to chop his head and offer the body to their Deity. As one of the tribals took a sword up and was bringing it down to chop the head off, he noticed that the King's finger is cut and bandaged. This means the body is impure and is not fit for the offering. So the tribals let him free. The next morning as he was returning to his palace he thought that Birbal was right when he said whatever
