Patanjali Yoga Sutras III-22

Etena sabdadyantardhanam uktam.

Etena = thus, sabda = sound, adi = etc, antardhanam = disappearance, uktam = told.

Thus, disappearance of sound etc can be understood.

A yogi, by withdrawing to subtler leaves, can exert control over the elements of the nature. In last issue we saw how a yogi can arrest the light rays reflected from his body and prevent them from falling on the eyes of thebeholder(s) and, thus, become invisible. In the same way he can arrest other vibrations like sound, smell etc emitting from his body so that no one can ever feel his presence in any way.
