About Mother As First Guru
The journey towards and during motherhood can be a pathway to profound self discovery,
personal growth and spiritual realisation. If a woman is able to experience fertility,
pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood as part of her spiritual being, then the whole
of her life becomes a meaningful meditation.
Yet, all too often our experiences become de-personalised, sanitised, externalised
and traumatised. As medical science develops new ways to manage illness and the
so-called difficulties of childbirth, many women come to the task of motherhood
ill-prepared by life, and trusting not in themselves but in the authority of others
to deliver them from the fear, ignorance and lack of meaning in their reproductive
lives.
This bookset includes not only ideas, but also practical advice and techniques,
to assist the reader in making real transformations in fertility, birthing and motherhood.
Included are 2 audio CDs, 200 pages of techniques and over 50 practice programs
of yoga postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation. |
