The Ashram at Rishikesh

Our Ashram is a sacred haven, resting serenely on the banks of the holy Ganga (Ganges), nestled in the lap of the Himalayas. The ashrams beautiful architecture and aesthetic presentation of pious themes create an atmosphere of true spiritual sublimity.

It is no surprise that pilgrims are drawn here from all over the world. The awe-inspiring beauty of the ashram, the clear, flowing Ganga, the majestic mountains, and the lush green forests will embrace and rejuvenate your entire being. The Ashram offers inspiration and upliftment for your body, mind and spirit as well as a deeper connection with the Divine.

But what really sets apart an Ashram stay from a conventional hotel stay is the unique experience of positive energy vibrations generated through years of accumulated spiritual energy of mantras, chants and the aura of great spiritual saints.

As you stay in the ashram, you will feel your soul bathing in the peace of sacred energies, including those that emanate from nature and those that linger from the timeless healing powers of saints, sages and holy ones. The Ashram contains within it the voice and the spirit of divine communion.

There are about 1,000 residential rooms that retain the simplicity of ashram living and yet are equipped with the necessary modern facilities. All rooms have attached, Western style bathrooms and many have hot, running water. All linens are provided. The ashram provides a clean, pure and sacred atmosphere to thousands of pilgrims and devotees.

There is no charge for pilgrims or devotees to stay here; everything is run on a purely donation basis. Whatever visitors feel inspired and able to give is greatly appreciated, and all donations are used for the beautification of the ashram and for the continuation of its services.

Please note that the Ashram stay is basic. Some of our clients have even described their Ashram stay as a culture shock. Even though the rooms have all necessary facilities including beddings, blankets and attached baths, however, please do not expect a 5-star reception or welcome here. This is NOT a hotel and for most part you will have to find your way around; of course, the Healthandyoga team will always be only a simple phone call away.

The treatment will be given by experienced and qualified Ayurvedas
They will be conducted either in Ashram or at a private studio some distance from the Ashram.

Himalaya Darshan:
Fascinating view of the Himalayas.
Our team will drive you to Kunjapuri about 27 kms from Rishikesh
From here, you get a picturesque view of the mighty Himalayan range.
The team will coordinate on the more suitable option of sunrise or sunset view of the Himalayas.

Day 5:

River Rafting:
On the holy river Ganga
River rafting will not be conducted during the monsoon seasons
During these seasons, Religious Sightseeing will be conducted
The sightseeing in Haridwar includes visit to Har Ki Pouri, Kankhal, Chandi Devi, Mansa Devi, Bharat Mata Mandir and visiting the ghats and temples.

Please note that you will have to pay additional charges of going up to Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi by cable car
This trip would also include Triveni Ghat and other attractions in Rishikesh
