Abstract: Psycho kinesis, power to influence a Random event generator called REG from a distance is investigated in this study. One of the famous mantras is the Gayatri which is known to invoke effulgence and higher powers of the mind.

In this investigation, the effect of Gayatri Mantra chanting (GM) on 30 healthy male volunteers in evoking the capacity to influence a REG is compared to their Random Thinking (RT). Each session consisted of 10 trials of 'pre' followed by 10 trials of 'during' and 10 trials 'post'. The experiment was repeated twice (set 1 and set 2) for all 30 subjects.

Analysis using a SPSS version 10 package showed no significant difference between the pre-values of both sessions showing baseline matching. There was a significant increase in the REG values recorded during the GM compared to its baseline values (p<0.05, two tailed). There was also a significant increase in the REG values of the GM compared to RT session in the 'during' phase (p<0.001, one way ANOVA). However, the pre-post values showed no significant difference in both GM and RT sessions.

Here we show that chanting Gayatri Mantra develops a capacity to influence REG indicative of a possible increased psychokinetic power.

Summary & Conclusion:  We can see the non-significant changes in Pre-Post analysis for RT, but the significant changes in Pre-Post analysis for GM, which indicate that RT (Random Thinking) had no influence on the REG whereas GM (Gayatri Mantra chanting) showed influence on REG after the event also. Pre Vs During data have shown highly significant changes in both GM & RT events except for RT in set 1 where it showed no significance. However, there was significant difference between the GM & RT events. This result shows that the subjects did influence the REG in GM more than in the RT sessions.

Analysis of changes in capacity to significantly increase the REG values: (mean values >101.00).

The One way ANOVA (Parametric) test has shown that there was a significant increase in the number of episodes recorded DURING the GM Sessions in comparison to the PRE values. There was as much as 80% and 95% increase in the number of episodes for both the sets respectively, whereas in the RT event, there was significantly 160% and 200% decrease between PRE and DURING for both the sets of data respectively.

The changes 'PRE' Vs 'POST' in GM showed increase of 40% whereas there was a 100% decrease in the post values for RT event.

These results clearly suggest that the GM Sessions have been very effective in inducing a state which could significantly improve the capacity of subjects to influence the REG effectively.

The data during both the sessions have shown highly significant changes in both GM & RT events as shown in corresponding graph. There was significant increase in values during the GM session compared to significant decrease in values > 101.00 for RT group in both the sets. Thus this showed significant result between the two groups GM and RT for both the sets which shows the two experiments done reproduced same results.

This result shows that the subjects influenced the REG in GM more than in the RT sessions.

  1. These results indicate that the GM did bring about an enhancement in the power of psycho- kinesis.

  2. However, the results indicate a distinct possibility of enhancement of the power of influencing the REG in Gayatri Mantra Chanting (GM) compared to Random Thinking (RT) sessions.
